Today I had the pleasure of the company of a cat. So what you might say. Well it was special because the cat came into our yard & didn't run away as soon as it laid eyes on me & came to me when I called to it.

It was so sweet, I think it was female, so soft to touch & didn't mind me stroking it. It allowed me to pick it up & it sat happily on my lap & preened itself.

Before all that, when I first saw it, hiding in the grass, I spoke to it & it answered.

Anyway, it was just wonderful to have my arms full of cat for the first time in ages.

I think it was only in our yard because it was stalking birds.
So last night I had this dream that I was trying to get to a hospital where I was supposed to meet my mother. I get there and all the elevators, and there's lots of them, are not quite working properly. People would get in one but it wouldn't stop on the right floor. You had to keep trying all of them to get one that would stop where you wanted it to. Anyway, eventually I met my mother on some high floor & I think some other stuff happened but can't really remember now & then we're looking out of some very high window. When you looked directly right down we were right above the SOH which was weird in itself, but behind the SOH in like a little cut out of the bay, were frolicking killer whales. There was quite a few of them & they were doing what whales do when they're happy, leaping & jumping, etc. Weird huh!!

This week I have found myself in a bit of a quandary. I'm kind of torn between sharing some info that I know many people would be interested in on a certain site & not sharing it because it is kind of a privelige that I have said info. Basically it's photos of a certain couple of someones who are on set & filming only it's not the father who is filming but rather the son. I've been tossing up whether or not to share the photos because they are the sons personal pix. Anyway, I haven't done anything with them yet & if I wait long enough the ep will air anyway & then everyone will know. Tonight I thought about putting just a few pix up but I'm still not decided. I know this seems a lot of fuss over a bunch of photos but I have a strong conscience & don't want to upset certain parties but I would like to share what I know too. Arghhh!

I don't know why these things don't have longer shelf lives but anyway. At least my current one is still working but I fear it may be on it's way out hence the precaution in getting a new one first instead of 'just in time' as happened last time. It will be nice not to have to be tied to a desk in the coldest room in the house too.
Wow, three posts in one day!

Even though it's sad & a part of my childhood, I wanted to acknowledge the passing of Smoky Dawson last week. He was 94 but was one of those people that you thought would always be there. He's gone to the homestead of his dreams.

So I don't get anything on V day, of course, except that I'm expecting a delivery from Office Works. So what happens, the delivery guy chats me up! He said, no flowers today? I said no, so he talked about taking me out to dinner & about what I like to eat, and we eventually got around to seafood & he said that I am very expensive, (in a joking way). It was so strange but fun at the same time. Anyway, so what happened? He ended up giving me the wrong order & he had to come back & he said it was his nerves from talking to me that had made him make the mistake. HA!

So, for a week or two I've had this most incredible secret. I couldn't share it with anyone at home & I thought about telling one of my forums but thought better of it. Then I had the bright idea of writing about it here. It is so fabulous a secret though that I can't go into the exact details but sufficed to say that I have in my possession the home phone number of a certain somebody. Obviously I can't say who or give up the number but there are people on certain forums who would do anything for this persons number. How did I get this number & how do I know it's right?? Let's just say it came from the person that I can't mention, son.
Argh!!
If I was younger, I would be so tempted. And who knows maybe one day I may try it. It's amazing the self control you can have, it's probably an age thing and something telling me that I should know better. I just wish I could tell somebody!!
I have other things connected with them too, but can't go into that either.
Double Argh!!
Anyway, at least I have gotten it out of my system somewhat, writing about it here.
Wow this is about the longest entry I've ever posted.
Phew.

We said goodbye to our old car on Monday. We've had it for over 20 years. I got my licence in it, brought Lochie home in it & went everywhere in it. A lot a history there. Mum & I were actually crying when we watched it getting towed away. Funny isn't it, how you can cry over an object. It served us well though.
